Plata 925 y plata chapada en oro
All the jewellery you design on Crea Tu Joya Online is cast in metal in our workshop in Vigo. In the configurator you can choose between two finishes:
925 Silver
925 silver, or sterling silver, is an alloy containing 92.5% pure silver. It is the standard for silver jewellery: strong enough for everyday wear, with a shine that lasts with minimal care.
Gold-plated 925 silver
The same 925 silver piece, with a 24K gold coating on the surface. The base metal is 925 silver and the plating we use is 3 microns thick. The resulting material is called vermeil.
How the material affects the price
The price of each piece is calculated from the volume of metal in your design and the material you choose. You will see it before you buy and, once you finalise your design, it is fixed.
Care
To make your jewellery last: store it separately so it doesn’t get scratched, avoid contact with perfume, creams, chlorine or cleaning products, and dry it if it gets wet. Gold-plated pieces last longer if you don’t bathe with them.
